MANITOBA
VANCOUVER
Manitoba is a proposed mixed-use industrial site located in South Vancouver. Featuring easy access to the Marine Drive Canada Line Station, Manitoba is also easily accessed by bike and vehicle traffic.
In March 2020, Wesbild submitted a Development Permit application to the City of Vancouver to develop two new 6-storey mixed-use buildings. Consisting of traditional high bay industrial, light industrial/manufacturing and general office space, the site will also feature an over-height parkade to allow vehicular access up to sprinter van heights. The secure parking will provide a convenient entrance to freight elevators, external freight corridors and other commercial amenities.
As an industrial property, Manitoba is proposed to provide much-needed industrial space for the Metro Vancouver region with a focus on essential last-mile logistics, tech sector, and higher intensity employment and services. As e-commerce and technology evolves, businesses are placing greater importance on integrated work environments. The thoughtfully designed buildings will incorporate a range of uses such as design, manufacturing, distribution, production, service, retail and restaurants.
Metro Vancouver businesses are in the pursuit of neighbourhoods and buildings that allow for enhanced collaboration, productivity and creativity – the very basis of Manitoba’s design. With strata ownership, business will be able to have flexibility in their space needs while fostering growth and innovation. Manitoba is proposed to be the future of industrial development in a region severely constrained for industrial space.
