Earlier today Wesbild was advised that an employee at T&T Supermarket located in Pacific Place Mall had a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19.
Wesbild took immediate steps to ensure the safety our employees, tenants, their employees and our shopping guests. Pacific Place Mall is home to several essential service retailers, so it is critical that the mall stays open to support the community. Out of an abundance of caution, Wesbild has partially closed Pacific Place Mall with access to essential services only including Canadian Diagnostic Centre, Canadian Back Institute, Prime Care Health and Pharmasave via the Northeast Entrance. All other entrances have been temporarily closed.
Wesbild is committed to working closely with public health authorities and will be undertaking a deep cleaning of Pacific Place Mall working in sequence to ensure that every surface is thoroughly cleaned. The Northeast entrance common area will be thoroughly cleaned multiple times per day. We will also be working closely with the management at T&T Supermarket to assist in a deep clean of their entire store which will remain closed until April 8, 2020.
Wesbild is in regular contact with our tenants and will be working with each tenant on an individual basis to determine their needs moving forward.
The safety and wellbeing of the community is the company’s top priority, and our teams will remain on site throughout the day.
The mall will re-open on March 27, 2020
