
Wesbild Awards New Wesbild LIFT Scholarships
June 27, 2018 / in Giving Back, NewsWesbild would like to congratulate the 64 CABE Graduates who crossed the stage at the Massey Theatre last night at their convocation ceremony. We were proud to award the Wesbild LIFT scholarship to ten grads, as well recognize students who received a Wesbild LIFT scholarship in December and renew an alumni scholarship.
Congratulations to the following recipients:
- Aaron Chouinard – Carpentry Foundation at BCIT
- Adam Michalik – Bachelor of Arts at Douglas College
- Aliya Gordon – Child & Youth Worker at Douglas College
- Faith Adams – Interim Aboriginal University Prep Program at SFU
- Jeremy Rodney – Computer Science at Douglas College
- Kevin Herrera – Automotive Technician at BCIT
- Riawna King – Bachelor of Arts at Douglas College
- Sophie Nygaard – Culinary Arts at Vancouver Community College
- Trenton Wicklund-Shemluk – Level 2 Metal Fabrication at BCIT
- Tyler Hutchinson – Trades Discovery at BCIT
As well as Emily Linton, who had her scholarship renewed (Business Administration at BCIT).
The Wesbild LIFT Scholarship has committed significant funds to support CABE graduates get post secondary training and education. The scholarship is open to current CABE graduates. Grads from up to 18 months ago can also apply, along with graduates from other schools in School District 43 but who have spent 75% or more of their time at CABE.
